Back to this book- For the first time ever, I loved a time jump. Three years after the dead rose our cast of characters are scattered in the wind. Something -Fate, circumstance, the Divine hand of God - begins to pull everyone together to fight off the crazy that is rising unchecked across the land.

Old enemies are reunited, old friends stumble upon each other and a few people get the justice they deserve.

The remains of all the groups are pulled together, some for the first time, tying everything up quite nicely. Through hope, loss, betrayal and horror we see some pretty awesome quasi-redemption arcs and some morbidly amusing, dark humor scenes. I loved the way shades of grey were used in this book. Grady who may be right, maybe crazy or maybe a bit of both. My only complaint is there are a handful of minor editing errors that jarred me out of the story but the book is clean for the most part.

Apr 17, J. L Perrigo rated it it was amazing. The characters I found compelling as they were more down to home everyday people. To see who survived in the end was rewarding though taxing. In the end it was a compelling read. Great job author J. Perrigo author of Good Intentions. Mar 30, Sandra Oldfather rated it it was amazing. The surprise ending makes up for the weaknesses in the previous books.

Kudos to the author, who treats his non-zombie animal characters with respect and affection. If Mr. Urban were to secure the services of a competent editor, he could become a master of the genre. Aug 21, Rich rated it it was amazing. A fitting finale It was a long road and a time jump to get here but it was all worth it. I was happy, I was sad and yes I swore from time to time but I finish this series content with a story well told. Jul 27, Jennifer Poe rated it it was amazing. Excellent Great story. The plot sometimes seems predictable but has enough quirky twists to keep you reading.

Well done book, well done series. I enjoyed this series very much, and this was a fine ending to it. I enjoyed the characters even though some of the ones I liked did not make it to the end.
